Panchkula. Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta said that seven concerns are essential for the development of Panchkula and better lifestyle of the people. He is happy that these concerns are going to be fulfilled with the cooperation of Panchkula residents.
Gyanchand Gupta was addressing as the chief guest in a program organized on seven governments at PWD Rest House Sector-1 Panchkula.
The Speaker of the Assembly said that about two years ago he had started a campaign to make Panchkula clean, beautiful and green and for this he had given seven concerns in which Panchkula should be free from drugs, pollution, plastic, stray cattle, stray dogs, encroachment and slums. Doing is involved. He said that to make this campaign successful, every resident of Panchkula as well as NGOs and other socio-religious organizations have extended full cooperation and for this he expresses his gratitude to everyone.

Children were made aware of the ill effects of drugs in schools and colleges.

Gupta said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to make India drug free by 2030. In Haryana too, Chief Minister Manohar Lal is moving towards making the state drug free. Shri Gupta said that to keep the youth away from drugs in Panchkula, seminars and workshops were organized in schools, colleges and other educational institutions to make children aware of the ill effects of drugs. Apart from this, recently on 12th January, on the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti, a walkathon was organized in Panchkula in which about 5000 children participated and took the message of drug-free Panchkula to every home. Describing youth as the best message bearer, Shri Gupta said that youth power is a powerful medium to make people aware against drugs.

Oxyvan in 100 acres near Ghaghar river

Assembly Speaker said that in order to make Panchkula plastic free, along with making people aware, a provision for fine has also been made. He said that today there is no such factory in Panchkula which is manufacturing plastic. He said that to make Panchkula pollution free, the Forest Department is setting up Oxyvan in 100 acres near Ghaghar river. After the construction of this Oxyvan, there will be a significant reduction in air pollution in Panchkula and people will also get oxygen in abundance. Apart from this, people are being made aware to plant more and more trees. He said that while eco industry has been encouraged in Panchkula to prevent pollution, permission has not been given to big industries. He said that the Municipal Corporation is continuously making efforts to make Panchkula stray dog free.

Five new cowsheds established in Panchkula

Reiterating his commitment to make Panchkula free from stray animals, the Assembly Speaker said that a target has been set to make Panchkula free from stray animals in the next two-three months. Gupta said that five new cow shelters have been established in Panchkula where 20,000 cows are being reared. Apart from this, Govan has been established near Ghaggar river where about 2500 cows are being looked after. In this Govan, a provision has also been made for the treatment of sick cows and those injured in accidents. He said that the present government is sensitive towards the protection of the cow progeny and this is reflected in the fact that the budget of the Cow Seva Commission has been increased to Rs 400 crore.

Strict instructions to prevent illegal slums from growing on government land

Gupta said that to make Panchkula encroachment free, campaigns are run from time to time by Haryana City Development Authority and Municipal Corporation. Vending zones have been established in almost every sector so that street vendors and small shopkeepers can earn their livelihood with dignity at a designated place. Around 800 people have been allotted spaces in these vending zones. Allotment of space is done through draw of lots. He said that strict instructions have been given to the officials to prevent illegal slums from springing up on government land in the sectors.

Rehabilitation plan ready to make Panchkula slum free

Gupta said that in order to make Panchkula slum free, a rehabilitation plan is being prepared for the people living in Rajiv Colony, Indira Colony and Kharak Mangoli. Chief Minister Manohar Lal will announce this scheme soon. Mr. Gupta said that the survey work under this scheme has been completed, according to which 6500 people will be given plots of one marla each.

Development work worth Rs 5500 crore in Panchkula

The Assembly Speaker said that in about nine and a half years, development works worth Rs 5500 crore have been done in Panchkula. Referring to the major projects, Gupta said that NH-73 remained pending for 10 years during the tenure of the previous government, but with the coming of the present government, its construction work started in the year 2015 and within one and a half years it was completed at a cost of Rs 1100 crore. Ready. He said that the construction of this highway has changed both the fate and picture of Panchkula.

Apart from this, NIFT was constructed in Sector-23 of Panchkula. With the establishment of this national level institute, the name of Panchkula has emerged on the map of the country.
Similarly, the construction work of National Institute of Ayurveda in Mata Mansa Devi campus at a cost of Rs 500 crore has almost been completed. OPD is going on here. This is the second Ayurveda institute in the country after Jaipur.
