After the central government announced guidelines for Unlock 4.0, the Tamil Nadu government has allowed several services to resume in the state after 5 months despite a rise in COVID-19 cases.
In Unlock 4.0, though several states allowed the public transport, metro train and religious places to resume, the Tamil Nadu government continued to restrict their operations fearing the spread of the infection.
Meanwhile, several opposition parties demanded the state government to allow public transport and take steps to resume economic activities in the state.
