Sahil Singh, a Mumbai-based model, exemplifies the journey of rising from humble beginnings. Once selling wallets in Vasai, Singh has now carved out a successful modeling career and amassed over 65,000 followers who praise his grooming videos. His breakthrough came with a modelling job for Streax, an Indian haircare brand.

At 24, Singh’s path to success began when he was just 12, dreaming of a modeling career despite lacking financial support. He juggled various odd jobs, including working as a Swiggy delivery agent, delivering milk and newspapers, and selling wallets on the streets.

In an interview with indianexpress.com, Singh recounted, “I used to sell wallets on the streets. After seeing a modeling advertisement, I decided to pursue it. I completed my Class 10 and started working as a Swiggy delivery agent to help my parents financially.”

Singh also balanced his work with education, attending college and dedicating time to learning about modeling. “I attended college after work and spent my days researching modeling,” he said.

It wasn’t until 2019 that Singh confirmed his passion for fashion. “Participating in a college fashion show made me certain this was my calling. I began serious research into modeling requirements while continuing to work to support my family and pay EMIs,” he explained.

Joining the Blanckanvas agency in 2024, Singh secured a modeling job and felt a profound sense of achievement when his father recognized his success on social media. “My father showed me my video and said, ‘You got famous.’ I was initially skeptical about sharing my progress with him, but his appreciation meant a lot,” Singh shared.

An Akshay Kumar fan, Singh eagerly awaits more opportunities to make his mark.
