The Enforcement Director on Wednesday summoned actress Rhea Chakraborty’s talent manager Jaya Saha in connection with the money laundering case in Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. Meanwhile, a WhatsApp conversation between Rhea and Jaya has also hinted the investigating agency towards a drug angle in the suicide case.

On 25 November 2019, Jaya sent a WhatsApp message to Rhea in which she wrote, “Use 4 drops in coffee, tea or water, and let him sip it. Give it 30-40 min for it to kick in.” After which, Rhea also sent her a message to thank her to which Jaya replied, “No problem bro, hope it helps.”

A senior ED official said that Shah, who was questioned earlier by the financial probe agency, has been asked to appear again. The ED source said that the financial probe agency wanted to question her about the drug angle after one of her conversations with Rhea got leaked. The ED has also sought the help of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to investigate into the drug angle. It has been also revealed that another contact named Miranda Sushi also sent a message to Rhea on 17 April 2020. In this message Miranda wrote, “Hi Rhea the stuff is almost over.” Another message from the same contact read, “Shd we take it from Showik’s frnd but he has just hash n budd (sic).”

However, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde in a statement has refuted the drug angle and claimed that the Rhea had never consumed drugs in her life and she was ready for any blood test. The Sushant Singh Rajput death case is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation and the Narcotics Control Bureau.
