The Supreme Court in the case X vs. High Court Of Judicature At Allahabad observed and has refused to entertain the writ petitioner moved the Civil Judge i.e., the Junior Division from Uttar Pradesh who alleged that she was sexually harassed by a District Judge.
The bench comprising of Justice Hrishikesh Roy and Justice Sandeep Mehta in the case observed and has noted that the Internal Complaints Committee of the Allahabad High Court is already seized of the matter.
The bench in the case observed and has found no reason to entertain the writ petition moved under Article 32 of the Constitution of India.
In the present case, the petitioner in the writ petition seeks directions for a fair enquiry on her complaint and the transfer of the accused-District Judge, since the witnesses are his immediate subordinates. Accordingly, the court dismissed the plea.
