The Judge of Madras High Court, Justice V M Velumani is proposed to be transferred to Calcutta High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium proposed the transfer of Justice V M Velumani to Calcutta High Court in September 2022. Further, a request has been made by her to retain her at Madras High Court. Justice Velumani also seek an alternate transfer to a North Eastern State, preferably from Manipur or Tripura, which being on the that she would then be able to retain her official accommodation at Chennai.
Further, the Supreme Court Collegium rejected her request and the court refused to reconsider the original decision
The Patna High Court Judge, Justice Sanjiv Prakash Sharma is proposed to be transferred to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The judge of Patna High Court, Justice Sanjiv Prakash Sharma belongs to the Rajasthan High Court. Justice Sanjiv Prakash was transferred to the Patna High Court in January 2022. Justice Sanjiv Prakash also seek repatriation to the Rajasthan High Court on the ground, because of the poor health of his and there being unavailability of adequate medical facilities at Patna. It has also been requested by Justice Sanjiv Prakash Sharma that if his repatriation to the Rajasthan High Court is not possible, Justice Sanjiv Prakash would also seek a transfer to the High Court of Punjab and Haryana with regards to the nature of the medical facilities which is available at Chandigarh to facilitate treatment of his condition.
It has been resolved by the Supreme Court Collegium that it won’t be able to repatriate him to Rajasthan High Court but the Supreme Court Collegium accepted the alternate proposal of transfer to Punjab And Haryana High Court.
The Judge of Madya Pradesh High Court, Justice Atul Sreedharan is proposed to be transferred to the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Judge of Madya Pradesh High Court, Justice Atul Sreedharan himself sought transfer on the ground that his elder daughter will be entering law practice next year. Thus, the Supreme Court Collegium resolved to propose his transfer to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.
