For the past 2 years, the pandemic has affected our spaces in many ways. From following the specific trends to prioritizing comfort, creating happier spaces, and incorporating in home entertainment, interior design has come a long way in these 2 years.

Nowadays when a client comes with a brief, there are a few things that they all like to incorporate in their spaces:

Earthy tones- Earthy tones, we all are required to spend more time indoors than ever, which has accelerated the love affair of soothing green, blues, and earthy tones. We want to feel connected to nature by even being indoors. The palette stays very close to hues you would find in nature. Nature has inspired us for years.

The use of Stone carved bathtubs, natural stones, and textures, Travertine in the space adds depth, soul and strengthens a connection with the nature of outdoor spaces.

Biophilic designs, incorporating plants, courtyard houses, clear glasses add transparency, openness to the space.

Curves in spaces- Curves make a space aesthetically pleasing as well as make a space feel safe, warm, and comforting. Curves help in building a better connection with nature thus making a space naturally soothing to the eyes.

Multifunctional spaces- Spaces are now designed for multifunctional uses. The residences are no more just the place we live, laugh, sleep and make memories. Now it is more to people, it is also about health as well as work i.e. incorporation of Gym and Offices in the houses.

With offices being incorporated into our personal spaces, they are also moving towards a futuristic approach of technologies i.e. High tech homes. Design evolves with new advances of technologies i.e. making it more practical, functional, and futuristic.

Design is required to focus on making the spaces emotionally at ease, to reflect what an individual feels, and by being to ourselves.

Trends are set to reflect oneself, both visually and affectionately.

It is more about being true to ourselves and it needs to feel as good as they look.
