Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Haryana Sudhir Rajpal, visited PM Shri Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector 15, Panchkula, on Sunday.
He inspected the school and its functioning. He was quite satisfied and congratulated the principal, Baljinder Kaur, staff, and students as the school has been declared a PM Shri School. Sudhir Rajpal promised that a multipurpose hall and auditorium would be built in this school. Additionally, there will be at least one school in each district with a multi-purpose hall. Sudhir Rajpal was satisfied with the smooth functioning of the school. He instructed the school authorities to complete the formal proceedings related to PM SHRI soon and ensure that it is implemented from the next academic session (2024–25). Girl students of the school are getting opportunities in the fields of academics, culture, mountaineering, educational tours, and sports; accordingly, students are performing well. Block Education Officer Seema said that the school girls are taking special advantage of the modern Lawn Tennis Court, and players are reaching national and international levels in sports, especially Judo. The school fulfills the basic requirements to be declared PM SHRI and remains the first choice, being the only girls school in the city of Panchkula. Deputy Director Education Department Kuldeep Mehta, District Nodal Officer Sh.Deen Dayal from Samagra Shiksha, Panchkula, and Lecturers Gunmati, Chandra Mohini, and Jaibir Singh were present on this occasion.
