In a determined effort to reclaim Evacuee Property (EP) from illegal occupants, encroachers, and land grabbers, the Evacuee Property Department Jammu executed an extensive eviction drive at Village Sahar Logate in Kathua. The initiative, directed by Custodian General J&K Rajinder Singh Tara, is part of a broader strategy to safeguard EP land.
Under the vigilant oversight of Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu, Ravinder Sharma, and overall supervision by Custodian General J&K Rajinder Singh Tara, an eviction team, led by Aijaz Ahmed, Deputy Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu/Kathua/Samba, successfully retrieved the Evacuee Property Land. The reclaimed land, covering Khasra No.524 (15 kanals 14 marlas) and Khasra No. 525 (21 Kanals 01 marlas), amounts to a total of 36 Kanal 15 Marlas in Village Sahar Logate, Tehsil & District Kathua.
The eviction team collaborated with Revenue authorities, including Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar, and Patwari Halqa, who played a crucial role in identifying and demarcating the reclaimed land. The Police Station Kathua provided a police party to ensure a smooth operation. The retrieved land, valued at crores of rupees based on prevailing market rates, underscores the significance of this successful operation. Signboards were promptly installed on the site to signify the reclaimed territory.
