The ruling BJP-JJP and the main opposition Congress will be at loggerheads in the assembly session starting from today over a series of issues.  The saffron BJP and its ally mulled over every possible strategy to deal with the opposition. Before the winter session, the Congress continuously brainstormed to take on the BJP and JJP on many issues. About two dozen proposals were thoroughly discussed in the meeting. On the other hand, INLD, which has only one MLA, will also try to take the government to the back foot in the House.
The opposition is constantly besieging the government regarding the allegations sexual harassment by a female player and National junior coach against the minister Sandeep Singh. In wake of the seriousness of the matter, the government also removed him from the post of Sports Minister, but he currently holds the portfolio of another department. The opposition is constantly demanding his removal from the cabinet berth, then the government says that the investigation is going on, then further action will be taken on the basis of this.
In the session, a fierce battle is fixed on the issue of Pariwar Pahchan Patra (PPP).  The opposition is taking on the ruling faction saying that through this, ration cards of people have been cut on a large scale and by showing their income more, they are being prevented from taking advantage of the government scheme, then the government says that through PPP, the government is giving all benefits to the deprived sections.
Contrary to aforesaid, there are more problems for the JJP as compared to the BJP, because the party’s MLA Jogiram Sihag  is fiercely attacking his own party and the Panchayat minister pertaining to the issue which led to the increased problems for the JJP and due to this, the party itself is seems on the back foot. Now in such a situation. The BJP and the main opposition Congress have been at loggerheads for a long time over the issue of restoration of the old pension scheme. The Congress has been continuously demanding that the BJP government should restore the old pension scheme without any delay. On February 19 also, thousands of employees demonstrated on a large scale regarding the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme. According to the information received, there is a demonstration of about five lakh employees.
Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced that the old pension scheme will be restored when the Congress government comes to power. This issue was also discussed in the CLP meeting. On the other hand, BJP and Chief Minister Manohar Lal are repeatedly saying that this decision is not in the interest of the country as it will result in a huge burden on the exchequer. For more than a month, BJP-JJP are constantly on the target of Congress and INLD for starting e-tendering system for development works worth more than 2 lakhs in villages.  However, Chief Minister Manohar Lal is strongly defending e-tendering. Apart from this, the issues of right to recall and illegal mining are also in constant discussion.
