Indian captain Rohit Sharma reflected on his journey as a cricketer and hinted at his future with the national team during an interview with Dubai Eye 103.8 Radio Station while currently participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Mumbai Indians.

Expressing gratitude for his cricketing journey, Rohit mentioned his desire to continue playing for a few more years and leave a mark on world cricket. Despite facing challenges, especially at the start of his career, he credits those tough times for shaping him into the person he is today.

Regarding his role as captain, Rohit considers it the greatest honour and emphasizes prioritizing the team’s success over personal achievements. He aims to carry forward the legacy of past captains and stresses the importance of unity and teamwork in achieving collective goals.

Acknowledging the pressure of being a cricketer and role model in India, Rohit views it as an opportunity to discover his strengths and rise to the occasion. He believes pressure brings out the best in individuals and helps them realize their full potential.

Looking ahead, Rohit is set to lead India in the ICC T20 World Cup starting from June 1 in the West Indies and USA.
