Several leaders of the Haryana Congress are currently involved in strategizing their political future, either for themselves or their children, through the upcoming state elections. While the current political atmosphere poses significant challenges to realizing their aspirations, these leaders remain undeterred. Despite the recent emphatic victories of the BJP in three out of five state assembly elections, these Congress leaders believe that a conducive environment still exists for them in the state. They are optimistic that the path to securing legislative seats for themselves or their children will not encounter insurmountable obstacles.

1. Hisar:
According to high-ranking Congress sources, former Union Minister Jayaprakash (JP) from Hisar Lok Sabha constituency is eager to test his luck once again. Having served as a Member of Parliament multiple times from Hisar, he is now keen on fielding his son, Vikas Saharan, from the Kalayat

2. MAHENDRAGARH
Bhiwani-Mahendragarh:
Congress legislator Rao Dan Singh from Mahendragarh is expressing interest in contesting from the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh seat. If Congress grants him the ticket for this seat, he intends to work towards securing a ticket for his son Akshat Rao in Mahendragarh.

3. Faridabad:
Senior Congress leader Karn Dalal is eyeing the Faridabad Lok Sabha seat. Karn Dalal, a five-time MLA from Palwal, has previously held ministerial positions in the Bansi Lal government. If Congress selects Karn Dalal for the Lok Sabha, his elder son Deep Karn Dalal may become the Congress candidate for the Palwal seat.

4. Gurugram:
Former Minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav has already declared his candidacy for the Gurugram Lok Sabha seat. Despite losing in the previous elections against BJP’s Rao Inderjit Singh, Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, who has been an MP from Rewari several times, hopes for a different outcome this time. His son Chiranjeev Rao is likely to be the Congress candidate from Rewari.

5. Karnal:
Another notable figure is Chanakya Pandit, whose grandfather Chiranji Lal Sharma was the Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly. Chanakya Pandit has served as a four-time Lok Sabha MP from Karnal and held ministerial positions in the Haryana government. There are discussions that Chanakya Pandit is a strong contender for the Congress ticket from Karnal.

6. Ambala:
The Ambala Reserved seat is witnessing discussions about Varun Chaudhary, the current Congress MLA from Mullana. His father, Phool Chand Mullana, has been a prominent Congress leader who served as the Pradesh Congress Committee President and held ministerial positions in various Haryana governments. Anil Dhantauri, a former Congress MLA from Shahabad, is also a contender for the Ambala ticket.

7. Kaithal:
Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s son, Deepender Singh Hooda, has expressed interest in contesting from the Kaithal seat.

8. Kurukshetra:
Former Union Minister and Congress leader Naveen Jindal, who has previously represented Kurukshetra, may have his wife, Shallu Jindal, as a potential Congress candidate for the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat.
While these leaders navigate the intricate path of political maneuvering to shape the future for themselves or their progeny, the political landscape in Haryana remains dynamic and subject to change.
