US Olympic Gold Medalist Justin Best Updates LinkedIn Bio After Historic Win

Justin Best, a US Olympic rower and investment analyst, recently updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect his new title as an “Olympic Champion” after winning gold at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Historic Victory in Paris

Justin Best, along with his three US teammates, secured a historic victory in the men’s four rowing event at the Paris Olympics 2024. This win marks the first time since 1960 that the US has taken gold in this category. The team held off strong competition from New Zealand and defending world champions Britain, finishing with an impressive time of 5:49.03.

Quick LinkedIn Update

Following his Olympic triumph, Best wasted no time updating his LinkedIn profile to highlight his achievement. His bio now proudly displays “Olympic Champion” alongside his professional role as a “Junior Analyst at Union Square Advisors.”

“Bro updated his LinkedIn within 24 hours of winning the Olympic gold,” joked X account Overheard on Wall Street, sharing a screenshot of Best’s updated profile.

Balancing Career and Sport

A graduate of Drexel University in Pennsylvania with a degree in business and engineering, Best has been working as a Junior Analyst at Union Square Advisors in San Francisco since November 2021. He has a deep passion for investment banking, saying, “I’ve loved the sectors that we cover. Hearing what the big companies are looking for in acquisitions or investments, seeing the metrics within the company and the technology, it’s exciting to me,” he told Business Insider.

Best manages a demanding schedule, starting his day at 5:30 a.m. for training before commuting to his office. After work, he returns to his training in the evening, finally heading home by 8:30 p.m.

Fulfillment of a Teenage Dream

For Best, winning the Olympic gold was the realization of a lifelong dream. “In high school, I wanted to see how far I could take this – I had in the back of my head the Olympics, and in the back further, I had gold medallist,” he shared with reporters, becoming emotional after the victory. “After years and years of trials and tribulations, ups and downs, I can finally say that I’m on the top of the podium.”

His journey into rowing began when his parents, inspired by the film “The Social Network,” believed he would excel in the sport due to his athletic build. They signed him up for a summer camp, setting him on a path that led to his first Olympic outing at the Tokyo Games in 2020.
