Ambati Rayudu’s Post Mocking RCB Sets RCB Fans Ablaze

Following Royal Challengers Bangalore’s elimination from the IPL 2024, a former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter couldn’t resist a playful jab, reminding fans of CSK’s five-time championship status. While banter between fan bases is common on social media, it’s rare to see cricketers join in. RCB had ended CSK’s campaign this season, leaving Rayudu disheartened. However, he seemed to relish RCB’s exit from the tournament.

Taking to Instagram, Rayudu shared a post poking fun at RCB, emphasizing the importance of a gentle reminder. The post featured several CSK players gesturing the number 5, symbolizing their five IPL titles.

Rayudu had previously commented on RCB’s performance, highlighting that passion and celebration alone don’t secure trophies. He stressed that reaching the playoffs isn’t enough and that winning the IPL requires more than defeating CSK.

As for the match, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis expressed pride in the team’s journey to the playoffs, especially after a dismal start where they lost seven of their first eight matches. However, RR halted RCB’s winning streak in the playoffs.

Reflecting on the match, Faf acknowledged that RCB fell short with the bat, feeling they were about 20 runs shy of a competitive total. Despite their efforts, he recognized the challenge of assessing pitch conditions, noting that dew affected gameplay. Despite the disappointment, Faf commended the team’s resilience, highlighting their remarkable comeback from a tough start to win six consecutive games. He admitted they weren’t at their best on the night, particularly in maximizing their batting potential.
