BEING THE COLOURS OF LIFE

Man believes. Man believes in beliefs. Mind is made by beliefs. Your adaptation is your belief. If you did not believe it to be you, you think you would be estranged. Your beliefs are what makes your mind. Man lives in the belief of living.

You believed Buddha. Long after Buddha is gone, your belief remains in Buddha. Not in the Buddhahood but in the Buddha. You made Buddha as God. You create billions of statues of Buddha who was against the dogmatic God-ism. Belief breeds rituals and dogmatic principles. You follow priest. Beliefs made Gods and ghosts to make you fearful. Therefore, you say that you are God-fearing.

Buddha is not fearful. Buddha is fearless. Neither does Buddha ask you to be fearful of anything. Buddha asked you to be fearless in your absoluteness. Buddha asked you to be wakeful. Wakefulness makes you fearless. That liberates you. That which you call liberation is in fact knowing the one which exists in you. That which is existence exists in me as existence and I have no cause to exist if that is not the cause of my existence.

When Buddha is gone priests asks you to believe in God. He tells you to have faith in God. This becomes a borrowed faith. Buddha exactly went against this borrowed faith and attained to Buddhahood. Priests himself does not seem to have full faith in God but because so many people together have faith so it is easier to have faith in a God who is prayed upon by the organizations of religion.

So many superstitions go on because of beliefs. Even priests cannot say with absolute authority whether God exists. They also have belief. Buddha shunned all his beliefs in God-ism. Buddha said there was no God and he attained to Godhood himself.

God is not something to be fearful of. God is a creative genius. God is manifested in this artful creation. Look at the landscapes. Look at the forests. Look at the trees. Look at lakes. Look at hilltops. Look at the sea. Look at birds. Look at the creativity, trees inviting insects to pollinate. Insects inviting bees and birds and seeds are carried away to grow.

Existence is the most creative ingenuity of that creative genius who manifests itself in the artfulness of this world. The godly creativity of his artfulness is beyond comprehension. Therefore mystics call this world a mystery. A mystery that cannot be known but can be lived. Creative mastermind of the world is embedded in its simplicity. Human mind has become complex. It needs complexity. Complex ideas stimulate the mind.

Existence is manifested in all hues in all colours. Look at the vastness of the blue sky. The blueness of the sky ends at nothing and is beyond our vision. Look at the green forests treasure trove of all colours of life. In India Hindus play a beautiful festival Holi that is full of colours. They colour each other, dance and rejoice in the colourfulness of Holi.

God is manifested in the colours of life. Colours have lent vision to our senses. Manifestation of colours evolved as a backlash to our sense of colour vision. Our embodiment is because of our surroundings. Kingfisher is blue-green, myna is black brown and parrot is green because of their embodiments in environments. A poisonous snake is black and dark yellow coloured and a peacock is a so beautifully iridescent blue. A tiger is striped golden orange and black and a zebra is black and white.

When a star was lit from the darkness of the universe and a beam of light glowed the breast of the earth, the vision began to evolve. Both light and vision evolved each other.

Our eyes are adapted to the light that falls on earth. All the colours of the world are our adaptations to the light. We the see sky as blue in its blueness. and the sunrise and sunsets are not orange-reds but seem red because light passes through water droplets and the ozone layer.

Bright light coming from far lit the vastness of the sky scattered itself on a large surface so it is blue because our eyes are most adapted to blue. Not that sky and sea are blue but seems blue. Earth is called the blue planet when seen from an earth station. Same blue when falls with intensity turn violet and dark. When light increases blue becomes green and green becomes yellow and yellow becomes red and red becomes brown. The fainter it becomes the white it becomes. Red flowers in darkness become black but green leaves in darkness become dark green because human eyes are more sensitive to green and blue than red.

In fall season, green leaves would become yellow and brown and fall. And new leaves become pinkish and light yellow and green. Man looks brown because of blood that is red. Why haemoglobin is red and chlorophyll is green? Oxygenating animals have more activities to perform so to transport oxygen the fluid should be iron-rich which is coloured red and black at clotting. Certain dormant fish in the sea have colourless fluid and octopuses have blue blood fluid. What we call red to denote the colour red if we had denoted the redness with green, the wars that humanity fought exterminating millions would have been called green revolutions.

All colours come from light and light that we know is the opposite of darkness. The light that we know is because of the darkness. Darkness is the basic canvas on which light is lit. But there is another sort of darkness that science calls dark matter. Science says that dark matter is what we owe our origins to.

Rig Veda says before the creation began there was darkness. Not the darkness that we know as the opposite of light but some other kind of darkness. The darkness that is the opposite of light in fact is the darkness of our vision that grew on earth as a backlash of light and this beautiful artful colourful universe is born vis-à-vis the senses of the eyes.

Colours are an extension of light that is manifested in the joy of your being. To dance and rejoice in the absolute colourfulness of our being is to make our life full of colours. A life full of colours is a life full of life. The one which is inside you is the beauty of all colours, fragrance of all flowers and creativity of creation. Rejoice in the artfulness of this colourful existence of life. Be the colours of life.
