Bollywood actors Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, known for making their acting debuts together in Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Student of the Year,’ brought back fond memories for fans as they reunited at producer Ramesh Taurani’s Diwali party in Mumbai.
The two actors were seen strolling down the red carpet together, engaging in playful banter, and striking poses for the paparazzi. Sidharth looked sharp in a black kurta set with a matching embroidered jacket, while Varun turned heads in a pastel blue printed kurta and off-white trousers.
Karan Johar introduced the duo in ‘Student of the Year,’ a film centred around love and friendship, which garnered immense love, particularly from the younger audience. In the movie, Varun portrayed a wealthy bully, while Sidharth depicted a likeable character who was portrayed as confident, hardworking, and excellent in nearly everything. Alia played the role of a spoiled rich girl who initially seemed to value fashion brands and beauty products over everything but was revealed to be a love-struck student who prioritized relationships above material possessions.
Since their debut, both actors have come a long way and delivered outstanding performances.
On the work front, Varun will headline the Indian adaptation of the global series ‘Citadel,’ sharing screen space with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The release date for the Indian version is still pending. It is an Indian adaptation of the Russo Brothers’ series of the same name. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden headlined the international version. Sidharth is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Yodha’ and is also making his digital debut with the web series ‘Indian Police Force.’ Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the series features Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty in significant roles and will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video.
