In preparation for the upcoming special session of Parliament, Sonia Gandhi, the chairwoman of the Congress Parliamentary Party, called a meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Strategy group on Tuesday. On Monday, Sonia Gandhi was released from the hospital. On Sunday, she presented to the Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi with mild feverish symptoms.

As per the information, there would be a discussion on party’s plan to tackle questions and issues likely to be raised in the Parliament Session.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also called a meeting of MPs of the INDIA alliance to discuss the strategy for the special parliamentary session.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Thursday informed about the five-day special session of Parliament from September 18-22. The agenda for the special session, however, was not revealed yet.

Joshi posted the details on the social media platform X and included a photo of the new and old parliament buildings, which were dedicated on May 28 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. An eight-member committee was established by the Center on Saturday to investigate and offer suggestions for holding simultaneous elections across the nation. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Ghulam Nabi Azad, the former Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, former President Kovind, former Chairman of the Finance Commission NK Singh, former Secretary General of the Lok Sabha Subhash C Kashyap, senior attorney Harish Salve, and former Chief Vigilance Commissioner Sanjay Kothari are the other members of the committee.
