Actress Sonakshi Sinha is reportedly planning to marry her longtime boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, on June 23. While the couple has not confirmed the news, sources have shared details about their upcoming wedding. According to reports, Sonakshi and Zaheer will have a registered marriage in the morning, followed by a celebratory party in the evening. The couple intends to keep the ceremony simple and intimate, foregoing traditional elaborate wedding festivities.
A friend of Sonakshi revealed, “I received an invitation to celebrate with the couple on the evening of June 23. But there’s no mention of an actual wedding. From what I know, they have already gone through a registered marriage or may do so on the morning of June 23. But there’s not going to be any elaborate wedding as such, just a party.”
The wedding party is expected to be attended by some of Bollywood’s prominent figures. The guest list reportedly includes close friends and peers of the couple, such as Aayush Sharma, Huma Qureshi, and Varun Sharma. Sonakshi’s Heeramandi co-stars, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sharmin Segal, have also been invited.
According to a HT City report, the celebrations will commence on June 22 at Sonakshi’s family home in Juhu, with only close friends and family in attendance. The wedding will take place the following morning, with the reception to be held at Bastian, a popular eatery in South Mumbai. The report shared, “There will be a celebration on June 22 at their family home in Juhu. Only close friends and family are invited for this function. The wedding will take place on the morning of June 23 while the reception will take place at night.”
The report further added, “The soon-to-be bride and groom have the blessings of their families. The wedding is going to be an intimate affair, with only the couple’s families and close friends in attendance. Sonakshi doesn’t want to give out much detail of her wedding before it happens and wants to keep it just in her close circle. Many of her actor friends will also be marking their presence to be a part of the most special day for the couple.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer have been in a relationship for some time and appeared together in the 2022 film Double XL. While they have not officially confirmed their relationship, their Instagram profiles feature numerous photos of each other, and they are frequently seen together at events and social gatherings.
