Tragedy struck in Torna Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday when a soldier lost his life and three others sustained injuries in a road accident involving an Army vehicle.
According to a police officer speaking to news agency Kashmir Scroll, the Army vehicle met with an accident in Torna Uri, resulting in the death of Havildar Mohd Sagir. The soldier died on the spot, while the three injured soldiers were evacuated by helicopter to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for medical treatment.
The deceased soldier’s body has been transferred to the hospital for legal and medical formalities.
The police have registered a case in connection with the accident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
