Twitter’s recognizable bird logo has been replaced with the letter “X” as its new official symbol, the latest big modification since Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media network.

This follows Musk’s weekend announcement. The modification has already been reflected on the website. Notably, Musk stated that x.com now also points to twitter.com. Musk also referred to this design as “interim” in the post, implying that there may be other logo revisions in the future.

According to a report by the US-based news blog TechCrunch, the social network may continue to change its logo. Musk stated that the company would eventually “bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”

Late Sunday, Musk changed his profile image to the new Twitter logo. According to the company’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, X will accelerate this shift by focusing on features “centered on audio, video, messaging, payment/banking,” as well as developing a “global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities.”

And, most recently, he founded X.ai, an AI company. Elon Musk’s social network, Twtter Inc., changed its formal name to X Corp. in April, according to TechCrunch. In 2010, the company obtained the famed ‘Larry the Bird’ emblem from legendary Boston Celtics basketball player Larry Bird.

Elon Musk unveiled his desire to replace Twitter’s logo on Sunday. In a tweet, he stated that the small blue birdie will most likely be replaced by a “X.” “And soon, we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” Musk wrote on Twitter.

“If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live worldwide tomorrow,” he said in another tweet.
