In a solemn procession, the body of Shubhkaran Singh was draped in the flags of various farmer unions. Accompanied by a multitude of farmers marching along the ambulance, the air echoed with chants of ‘Amar Shaheed Shubhkaran Singh, Zindabad’. The poignant display aimed at paying homage to the departed soul and seeking justice culminated in a demand for swift action against those deemed responsible.

The resolution unfolded with the registration of a murder case (FIR No. 0041) against unidentified persons linked to Shubhkaran’s untimely death at the Khanauri border on February 21.

Following the procession, a post-mortem examination was conducted on Wednesday night, providing crucial insights into the circumstances surrounding Shubhkaran’s demise. The cremation took place in his native village in Bathinda.

The farming community resolute in their pursuit of justice for Shubhkaran Singh. The events surrounding his death have not only fueled a wave of protests but have also triggered legal action, signaling a collective determination to hold those accountable for the loss of a fellow farmer.
