Renowned dancer and Padmashree awardee, Shovana Narayan, along with her repertory ASAVARI, is set to enthrall audiences with a special dance performance titled “RAM AAGAMAN” on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the culmination of Chaitra Navratri. Scheduled for Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, at the prestigious Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi, the performance promises to be a captivating exploration of Lord Ram’s life.
In collaboration with Dr. Smita Srivastav, Chairperson of “CONFLUENCE” and Co-Curator of “Bharat Mahotsav,” as well as Dr. Palka Grover, President of New Delhi Social Workers’ Association, the event aims to delve into various facets of Lord Ram’s journey, from his birth to Sita’s disappearance into the earth.

The performance, graced by esteemed personalities including Hon’ble Smt. Sangita Saxena, Hon’ble Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, and Dr. Sandhya Purecha, will offer a multifaceted portrayal of cultural geography and visual arts. Distinguished speakers like Lady Kishwar Desai and Dr. Alka Pande will add depth to the narrative with discussions on topics such as “Following the Footsteps of Sri Ram in Punjab” and “Darshan of Sri Ram in Hand-Held Paintings” respectively.

“RAM AAGAMAN” promises a unique perspective on lesser-known incidents in Lord Ram’s life, including his fervent prayers to Goddess Durga for victory and his profound sacrifices, such as offering one of his ‘lotus eyes’ to her.
