The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has expressed strong objection to the repeated parole granted to controversial Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail after being convicted in 2017 for the rape of two disciples. SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami accused the government of treating the Dera chief with “special consideration.” The Dera chief, who was granted a 50-day parole, has been given parole for the seventh time in two years, according to Dhami, who stated, “This is the seventh time in two years that he has been granted parole.”

It is noteworthy that Sirsa Dera chief Ram Rahim, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail for the rape conviction, was granted a 50-day parole. He conveyed a message to Dera followers about his intention to attend the Shri Ram Lala Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22. In his message, Ram Rahim urged his supporters to once again be present in his service. He instructed his supporters that no one should come to the Dera in Uttar Pradesh.

Ram Rahim mentioned that January 22 is celebrated as Lord Ram’s festival across the country, and everyone should participate in the festival. He urged people to celebrate this festival like Diwali and wished that God brings happiness to everyone. After receiving parole, Ram Rahim reached the Barnala ashram in Bagpat, Uttar Pradesh, where he released this video message for his followers.
