Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, while addressing the officers of civil and police administration of the state, said that the greatest quality of morality is sensitivity. Therefore, we all have to work with greater sensitivity towards the deprived section of society so that we can establish ourselves as role models.
Chief Minister was addressing the ‘ethics conclave’ organized by Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) for the officers of civil and police administration of the state at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban. He said that approximately 2 lakh state employees have already been benefited from the ‘Mission Karmayogi Haryana’ campaign organized by HIPA. The primary objective of this campaign is to steer the attitude of officers and employees in the right direction, thus propelling the development path of Haryana in the right direction.
The Chief Minister said that the path of morality can only be pursued by altering one’s thinking and vision. Corruption and immorality stand as significant impediments to this pursuit. If we aim to set ourselves as ideals, it is imperative to influence others by transforming our own perspectives and attitudes.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the way Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has imagined a developed India by 2047, he has strived to disseminate this vision from himself to the general people. He emphasized that the realization of this vision relies solely on the infusion of morality into society.
Commending HIPA for the Mission Karmayogi campaign, he said that by March 31, all officers and employees would undergo ethics training as part of this initiative. Furthermore, he highlighted plans for a second phase to be organized within two years. He noted that when there is purity in the environment, it enhances overall well-being. Similarly, he stressed the need to align our thoughts, ensuring that officers and employees working in the field carry out their duties with sincerity and integrity towards public service.
Chief Minister emphasized that positive change in thinking and attitude drives effective actions, as demonstrated in the recruitment process for government jobs in the state. He highlighted the implementation of Mission Merit, despite facing opposition, which has yielded visible results—only qualified and eligible youth are securing government positions.
Chief Minister also unveiled a motivational speech series titled “40 AV Boosters.” This collection features inspiring messages from Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj, and other scholars, which will be disseminated to all state employees.
In his address, Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj stated that Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal regards the Bhagavad Gita as his source of inspiration. He said that the practical wisdom of the Gita underscores the importance of embodying its teachings in our daily lives. He further remarked that true understanding of knowledge is unveiled amidst challenges. He highlighted that while evil may seem enticing initially, its consequences invariably lead to negativity. Conversely, goodness may pose challenges at the outset, yet its outcomes are always beneficial. Countless examples of this phenomenon are observable in society today. He advocated for the application of the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita in managing our lives effectively.
He mentioned that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi recites the Bhagavad Gita daily. He also emphasized the principle of embracing Karmyogi to transform our mindset and perspective, urging everyone to relinquish selfishness and cultivate a spirit of manliness and altruism.
During the program, Director General of HIPA, Smt. Chandralekha Mukherjee extended a warm welcome to Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal, Swami Gyananand, and all other attendees on behalf of HIPA.
