Security forces have foiled a major terror plot aimed at carrying out terror attacks as they recovered six Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) along with other arms and ammunition in Reasi district of Jammu province.

The recovery came on Sunday, around 09:00hrs, when a patrol team of security forces discovered explosive devices and arms and ammunition in the general area of Kot Budhan forest.

The details of the recoveries include one IED with 9 electric detonators, 3 pistols, 3 magazines, 20 pistol rounds, 1kg of explosives (powder type), 15 AK 47 rounds, 6 AK 47 fired cases, eight 8.9 Volt DC batteries, three Lithium Ion 12 volt batteries, 3 electric wire bundles (approximately 50 meters), 10 AA batteries (1.2 V), 6 large-size magnets, 7 explosive safety fuses, 1 blanket, 3 dressing bandages, 2 syringes with needles, 8 meters of rope, and 2 cigarette packets, as per officials.

A case has been registered in this regard, and investigations have been initiated.
