Crystal Crop Protection Limited, a leading agrochemical organization, is taking a significant stride towards supporting agricultural education and fostering women’s participation with the launch of the “Smt. Kanak Aggarwal NAAS Girls Scholarship” program. In collaboration with the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), Crystal Crop aims to empower girl students pursuing higher studies in agriculture, honoring the vision of Mr. Ankur Aggarwal’s late mother, Smt. Kanak Aggarwal, who advocated for inclusion in agriculture education.

The scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance and opportunities for 84 girl students annually, with 21 scholarships available for students in each year of their graduation program. Initially, Crystal Crop will donate over Rs 33 Lakhs for the first year, with potential increases based on response. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to advancing gender parity and nurturing the aspirations of young women in the agricultural sector.

Mr. Ankur Aggarwal, Managing Director at Crystal Crop Protection Limited, expressed, “At Crystal Crop, we recognize the vital role women play in India’s agricultural landscape. Through this scholarship program, we pay tribute to my late mother’s advocacy for girls’ education. Inspired by her passion, we are dedicated to empowering young women to excel in agriculture. Our goal is to provide them with quality education and abundant opportunities to thrive in their careers.”
The scholarship program not only offers financial aid but also provides mentorship opportunities, networking events, and career development workshops. Through these initiatives, Crystal Crop aims to equip aspiring women in agriculture with the necessary support and guidance to succeed academically and professionally.

Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary, DARE & Director General, ICAR, commented, “This noble initiative by Crystal Crop will encourage more young women to pursue agricultural studies, ultimately benefiting the agricultural sector as a whole. We anticipate a positive impact as these future professionals contribute to their communities and the broader agricultural landscape.”

Applications for the scholarship program are now open for eligible girl students who demonstrate academic excellence. Interested applicants can apply through the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences & Crystal Crop website.
