The Haryana Education Department has been working diligently on 15 different schemes to overhaul the structure of education in the state.
The implementation of these schemes has been a success- despite the lockdowns and online learning stints during the Coronavirus pandemic, the results of government schools in the state have remained excellent. Some notable schemes that were introduced by the Education Department include the monthly test scheme, the Super 100 programme and the laptop distribution scheme. Under the 15 schemes undertaken in various government schools across the state, students take tests every month under the Masik or monthly test scheme so that their performance can be evaluated. Apart from this, laptops were also given to meritorious students. Under this scheme, the government spent almost Rs 2.50 crore to provide 640 school children with
laptops.
More importantly, schemes like the Super 100 were initiated to assist meritorious students in Haryana schools Under this scheme, 25 students got admissions in IITs and 72 received notable rankings in the NEET. According to the director of Secondary Education, Dr Anshaj Singh, the department has made online transfers “after working day and night” so that teachers can work closer to their homes.
