SATELLITE IMAGES SHOW INDIA IN DOMINANT POSITION IN LADAKH

China’s Gaofen-2 satellite images reveal that Indian troops are only a few km away from the strategically important Blacktop Hill. Indian soldiers have reached a position where, if needed, they can target China’s Moldo camp.

The deadlock between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh has been continuing for months. The Chinese continue to provoke as the Indian side gives befitting replies. The whole world is now waking up to provocations by Xi Jinping’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Discussions around Indian military’s counterattack near Pangong Lake against China’s bullying have now intensified on Chinese social media. The latest satellite images leaked on Chinese social media have revealed the ability of the Indian Army to fight an uphill war. China’s Gaofen-2 satellite images have revealed that Indian troops are only one-and-a-half km away from the strategically important Blacktop Hill.

Indian soldiers have reached a position where, if needed, they can target China’s Moldo camp. This is the same camp where talks between India and China’s military officers were held. It has become clear that the Indian soldiers have specialised in mountain warfare and climbing to peaks within a very short time.

Both India and China have deployed extra forces along the LAC amid the border tension. According to sources, both sides have deployed about 50,000 soldiers each. Photos are being shared on social media showing the status of the Indian camp. The images show Indian camps sitting high on the Spanggur Gap, while the Chinese camps are much below. Earlier too, pictures of India’s position were shared on Chinese social media which showed India keeping an eye on the PLA camps on the mountains south of Pangong Lake.

At the same time, before open intelligence source ‘DetResFa’ shared the satellite photos, it could be seen that China had started heavy deployment around the Blacktop Hill. China wants to ensure no further movement from the Indian side and if there is, it wants to be in a position to deal with it. Fuelled by the preparations of the Indian camp, China has also started setting up support camps there.

ies, Indian soldiers have reached the very top of the PLA camp and made camps. India has increased its presence in the Finger 2 and Finger 3 areas apart from the fencing at strategic bases. Indian soldiers, fully equipped with weapons and heavy combat equipment, strengthened their barricades on all the important peaks ranging from Thakung to Req in Ladakh.

China is now talking about restoration of peace between the two countries. Chinese official newspaper Global Times has said that Beijing has not changed its stance regarding New Delhi. Significantly, this newspaper has repeated the point of going to war with India several times. Global Times said, “We do not see India as an enemy. There has been no change in our policy regarding India. We are ready to cooperate with India to make bilateral relations stable and strong. That said, it will take some time for the old situation to be restored, both the countries will have to keep meeting each other.”
