Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan and her mother, Amrita Singh, have acquired two additional commercial office spaces in Andheri West, Mumbai, for ₹22.26 crore, according to registration documents accessed by FloorTap.com.
The mother-daughter duo purchased two units on the ninth floor from Veer Savarkar Projects Private Limited in a building known as Signature Building, located off Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. Each property is valued at ₹11.13 crore, and the stamp duty paid amounts to ₹66.8 lakh. The built-up area of each unit is 2,099 sq. ft., with a carpet area of 1,905 sq. ft., as indicated in the documents.
The registration of these documents took place on October 10, 2024, and the units include three designated parking spaces.
Sara was unavailable for comment regarding the purchase.
In July of the previous year, the actress and her mother had acquired an office unit on the fourth floor of the same building for ₹9 crore, paying a stamp duty of ₹41.01 lakh. This deal also included three car parking spots, with Aishwarya Property and Estates Pvt Ltd as the seller.
Additionally, Amitabh Bachchan purchased four units on the 21st floor of the same tower for ₹7.18 crore each last year, with a total carpet area of 7,620 sq. ft. He paid a stamp duty of ₹1.72 crore upon registration on September 1.
Kartik Aryan also bought an office unit on the fourth floor of the commercial tower on September 4 for ₹10.9 crore, along with a stamp duty payment of ₹47.55 lakh, as per property documents.
Kangana Ranaut, a BJP MP and Bollywood actress, purchased an office space in Mumbai’s Andheri area for ₹1.56 crore. The property, measuring 407 sq. ft., is located on the 19th floor of a building named Arch One, bought at a rate of ₹38,391 per sq. ft. of carpet area, according to registration documents.
In recent months, several Bollywood stars have garnered attention for either acquiring commercial properties in Mumbai or leasing them out for significant rental returns.
Celebrities like Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Ajay Devgn have all made investments in Mumbai’s commercial real estate sector.
