Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan has revealed that the family is going through a difficult period following the murder of politician and close family friend Baba Siddique. He added that their primary concern is the safety of his brother, actor Salman Khan. The assailants responsible for Siddique’s murder claimed links to the Bishnoi gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail. This is the same gang that allegedly fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence earlier this year.

Update from Arbaaz

In a recent interview with Zoom, Arbaaz Khan shared an update while promoting his upcoming film ‘Bandaa Singh Chaudhary’, revealing that the family is quite concerned at the moment.

“We are doing fine. I wouldn’t say that we are doing absolutely alright because there is a lot happening right now, in the family. Of course, everyone is worried. But I am committed to promoting Bandaa Singh Chaudhary. It’s my film releasing on October 25 and I’ve to make sure that the film also goes out. Yes, there’s a lot happening but I’ve to do what I’ve to do,” he said.

Arbaaz Khan also discussed concerns about Salman Khan’s safety, as Salman is reportedly on Lawrence Bishnoi’s ‘hit list’, which includes comedians, politicians, and rival gang members.

Speaking about the family’s efforts to protect Salman, Arbaaz said, “No, it is true. I wouldn’t say we are all okay right now but we are trying to do what we can do the best. We are ensuring that everybody, along with the government and the police, is making sure that things go the way they should, and, he’s (Salman) protected. Everyone is doing their best. We want to stay this way right now.”

Salman Khan shared a close bond with Baba Siddique and was a regular attendee at his renowned Eid parties. He was also among the first friends to visit the hospital and mourn Siddique’s death.

Baba Siddique’s death

Last week, Baba Siddique (66) was fatally shot by three individuals in Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar, right outside the office of his MLA son, Zeeshan Siddique. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Siddique was laid to rest on Sunday. Several arrests have been made by the Mumbai Police in connection with the murder, and the crime branch is actively investigating the case. Authorities have recovered a black bag containing a 7.62 mm gun, according to the police.

The assailants claimed to be affiliated with the Bishnoi gang, whose leader, Lawrence Bishnoi, is currently imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail. Siddique’s murder has drawn attention to the Bishnoi gang’s operations, highlighting their capacity to organise and carry out high-profile crimes even from behind bars.
