Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safina Baig, along with concerned officials, undertook a significant step towards enhancing healthcare and road infrastructure in the region by laying the foundation stones for two crucial projects in Bandi Payeen and Najibhat Baramulla.
During her visit to Bandi Payeen Baramulla, Safina Baig inaugurated the commencement of construction for a 10-bedded Ayush Hospital, a pivotal healthcare facility estimated at a cost of 7.25 crores. This hospital aims to cater to the medical needs of the local community, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare services.
Additionally, the DDC Chairperson initiated the upgradation of the Najibhat-Khursi road and Najibhat inner links under the NABARD scheme, with an estimated investment of Rs. 6.25 Crore. This road infrastructure enhancement project is poised to improve transportation connectivity, facilitating smoother travel for residents and fostering socio-economic development in the region.
Emphasizing the urgency of completing these projects in a timely manner, Safina Baig directed executive agencies to expedite the work, highlighting the significance of these endeavors in addressing the pressing needs of the residents.
