Arjun Tendulkar, the son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar, made his IPL debut in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders, and they have the distinction of becoming the first father-son duo to represent MI in the IPL.
Arjun failed to take any wickets, bowled two overs, and conceded 17 runs. It was a decent start for the youngster.
Sachin was overjoyed to see his son in the jersey of the Mumbai Indians. He added that watching his son play in the IPL match was a new experience for him.
Sachin Tendulkar has been attached to the Mumbai Indians since the commencement of the IPL in 2008. Currently, he is the mentor for MI, but he was not seen in the dugout. Arjun’s mother and sister were present in the stands, and both were cheering for him.
Speaking with the IPL website, the legendary batter revealed that he was nowhere to be found because this was his first experience watching his son in the IPL, so he wanted him to play his natural game against KKR.
Sachin went on to say that this was a unique experience for him because I haven’t gone and watched to see his game, as he revealed on the IPL website.
Arjun Tendulkar added that “it was a superb moment for me to play for a team that I have been supporting since 2008.
It was a moment worth remembering for me to receive the debut cap from the captain of MI [Mumbai Indians] as well as the Indian team, Rohit Sharma, the all-rounder, who expressed his experience.
