The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra witnessed vibrant camps held across various Panchayats in Reasi, including Bhagga, Aghar Jitto, Channa-B, Hunder, Allya, and Garan Panchayat, drawing a massive response from the public.
The yatra, aimed at empowering rural communities through the effective implementation of government initiatives, traversed these panchayats, fostering community engagement and disseminating awareness about a myriad of government schemes and initiatives. The event received a warm welcome from PRIs, senior citizens, officials, and local residents, who actively participated in Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) setups.
Participants attentively listened to a recorded video message from the Prime Minister, emphasizing the significance of the campaign. They took the Viksit Sankalp Bharat pledge, expressing their commitment to holistic national development.
Under the banner of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, students showcased their artistic talents through captivating cultural performances. Dance and music reflected the diversity and richness of cultural heritage, fostering a sense of unity and celebration among the spectators.
Simultaneously, sports events added an adrenaline-fueled dimension to the yatra, with athletes demonstrating their skills and sportsmanship, turning the event into a dynamic arena of friendly competition and athleticism. Cheers and applause from the audience echoed the success of these sporting endeavours.
A notable highlight of the event was the “Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani” on-the-spot quiz, the cultural performance “Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke” Swachata Song by women SHG members and school students, and a session of Satat Krishi Activities featuring drone demonstrations and interactions with progressive farmers on natural farming and soil health cards. Beneficiaries of various schemes shared their firsthand experiences.
District Development Commissioner Mahajan, acknowledging the crucial role of women in agriculture, pledged concrete support to facilitate the sale of their produce. He emphasized that these schemes aim to bridge the gap between citizens and government initiatives, ensuring maximum outreach and participation in developmental endeavours.Mahajan stated that the primary goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to reach underserved areas of the district and provide understanding about various schemes offered by the Government of India and JK UT Govt. The initiative highlighted flagship schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana, and the Urea Subsidy Scheme, bringing them closer to the community for development and progress.
