Indian athletes Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra have recently captured the spotlight following their remarkable performances at the Paris Olympics, where they secured bronze and silver medals in their respective sports. A viral video has now surfaced, showing an interaction between the two at an event, fueling social media discussions.
In the video, after their conversation, Bhaker’s mother can be seen asking her daughter to pose for a photo with Chopra. In a separate clip, Bhaker’s mother is also seen speaking with the javelin star. The video has led to speculation online, with some users suggesting that there might be a ‘crush’ between the athletes.

“Both shy-talking, her mother taking pictures; something is cooking in the air,” commented one user. Another wrote, “Love is in the air; pure intuition; even so May the almighty bless these two and all others of their ilk who are in pursuit of excellence in their passion areas.”
However, not everyone was entertained by these assumptions. A section of social media users criticized those who tried to spark ‘relationship’ rumors between Bhaker and Chopra. One user stated, “If a boy and a Girl Talk to each other nicely people start assuming Things in India.” Another user echoed this sentiment, saying, “Kuch toh log kahenge (People will talk).”
Another user humorously added, “They might be talking about how to win the #Gold for India in the next Olympics.”
At the Paris Olympics, Bhaker made history by winning a bronze medal in both the Women’s 10 metre Air Pistol event and the mixed team 10 m Air Pistol event, marking the beginning of India’s medal count. Chopra, on the other hand, secured a silver in the Men’s Javelin Throw.
Neeraj Chopra previously made headlines at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, where he recorded a best throw of 87.58 m in the finals. He became the first Indian field and track athlete to win an Olympic gold and joined shooter Abhinav Bindra as the only other Indian to have won an individual gold medal at the prestigious event.
