As the Haryana assembly elections are just a year away, the ruling and the Opposition parties are constantly taking on each other on many issues. It is also continuously coming to the fore that the stalwarts of the Opposition parties are making every possible effort to strengthen their position. Along with the aforesaid, in the last assembly elections, many veteran leaders of the ruling BJP, who had faced debacle, are marking their presence felt in the state politics. Notably, more than half a dozen ministers of the then BJP also could not contest the assembly polls successfully which forced them to remain in political exile for a long time. But now ahead of the forthcoming polls, they are leaving no stone unturned to mark their presence in political spheres.
Apart from this, it is also continuously coming to the fore that even veterans of different parties, who were fierce opponents of each other in the olden times, are not refraining from praising and supporting each other. In continuation to this, it is worth mentioning that the JJP MLA Ram Kumar Gautam has been upset with the party high command, especially the Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala for a long time for using harsh words for him.
Recently opening a front against Dushyant Chautala, he praised Chaudhary Birendra Singh, who was once opposed to him. Besides, he praised his son and MP Brijendra Singh and his mother Premlata stating that due to him, Premlata lost the election from Uchana. Considering himself responsible for the defeat of premlata and less vote share of Brijendra Singh in Narnaund assembly during Hisar lok sabha polls, he apologised for the same. Everyone is familiar with the ongoing political battle between Chaudhary Birender Singh and Dushyant Chautala. Apart from this, Chaudhary Birender Singh and INLD supremo OP Chautala witnessed a political tussle for years as family members of both factions were made to contest against each other. The two families pitted against each other several times. OP Chautala and Virendra Singh were face to face in the 2009 elections and as it was a tough fight, Brender Singh lost this election by a small margin of 600-700 votes.
In this series, in response to a question, Chaudhary Birender Singh had termed OP Chautala the best Chief Minister so far after the state came into existence. It is worth noting that there was political rivalry between OP Chautala and Birender Singh. A few days ago, OP Chautala once held Congress veteran Bhupinder Singh Hooda responsible for sending him to jail but contrary to this and keeping all political differences aside, he indicated to forge an alliance with Hooda ahead of assembly polls. So far, they have met for the third time this year which clearly indicates the decreasing differences between them.
