In the wake of the forthcoming assembly elections to be held in Haryana next year, all political parties are mulling over their strategies to emerge as the winners. While the BJP and JJP are making every possible effort to repeat history, Congress and the INLD are trying to end their exile from power. Apart from these, the Aam Aadmi Party, which succeeded in forming the government in Punjab after Delhi, is also leaving no stone unturned to mark its presence in the state.
Heated arguments of the political bigwigs from all factions continue to result in ruckus in state politics. Due to this, there has been a lot of stir in the politics of the state. The stalwarts of all the parties are not shying away from making scathing remarks in this battle for political dominance and existence. Ajay Singh Chautala, the JJP president, and his son and Deputy CM Dushyant, along with his younger son Digvijay Chautala, continue to take digs at BJP veteran Chaudhary Birendra Singh and his MP son Brijendra Singh after both advised the BJP to contest the upcoming elections alone. In this episode, when Ajay Singh Chautala was asked about the alliance with the BJP, he was annoyed, stating that when there is an alliance between the BJP and the BJP, then no one is required to comment on the issue.
On the other hand, Chaudhary Birendra Singh, his son Brijendra, and wife Premlata are also not missing any opportunity to take on Ajay Singh Chautala and his two sons. Birendra Singh is of the opinion that the BJP does not need crutches like JJP in elections. If the BJP fights together with the upcoming JJP, it is most likely to weaken the party.
In this episode, INLD MLA Abhay Singh Chautala is besieging his nephew and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala. Besides, in a bid to strengthen the party, he is undertaking a padayatra across the state to do just that. Earlier, Dushyant Chautala had said that his father, Ajay Chautala, had travelled 670 km; if Abhay Singh Chautala is a serious politician, then he should at least cover half of it. Regarding this, Abhay taunted his nephew Dushyant, stating that he used to say that even 300 kilometres would not work, and contrary to this, I have walked more than twice that.
In continuation to this, Bhavya Bishnoi, the BJP MLA, and his father, Kuldeep Bishnoi, are attacking former Union Minister Jai Prakash during their Thanksgiving tour in Adampur Assembly, stating that personal comments were made on him and his grandfather, former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, in the Adampur by-election. Apart from this, an attempt was also made to spoil the brotherhood of Adampur. He further said that there have been continuous personal attacks on his family as well, which were totally unwarranted. Congress stalwart and Leader of the Opposition, Bhupender Singh Hooda, and the JJP leaders are eyeball to eyeball over an old issue. Taking on Hooda, the JJP›s Principal General Secretary Digvijay Chautala said the JJP was ready to forge an alliance with the Congress before forming an alliance with the BJP, but Hooda refused to do so. Regarding this, Hooda said that there was no discussion with JJP pertaining to the matter of alliance. In response to this, Digvijay said that his son, Deepender Hooda, had said that his father was ready to accept JJP›s announcements. In such a situation, the statements of both parties are contradictory.
