Due to increasing cases, various arrangements are being made in health institutions for quick diagnosis of the disease. Haryana has become the first state to provide the RT-PCR facility to ensure the timely detection of the disease as well as to control the infection. Apart from this, in wake of the surge in the corona infections, the department is on toes to ensure 24×7 oxygen facility and necessary arrangements Notably, RT-PCR is an accurate means of detecting, tracking and studying the coronavirus.

During the fresh wave of the disease, around two dozen people have tested positive for the corona adding to the woes of the health official department. It is worth stating that resembling previous waves of Corona, most of the cases reported so far have surfaced in the Gurugram district of Haryana adjoining to the National Delhi and the movement of the people at large scale at International and national level emerges as the main factor for the spread in infection which has forced the concerned department to come with additional efforts so that things remain under control.

The statistics releveled that as many as 1079007 people in Haryana have been affected by Corona after it entered Haryana. Of these, 311642 people got infected in Gurugram alone, which is around 29 percent of the total reported patients. After Gurugram, adjoining Faridabad district remains on the the second position with138276 patients followed by Hisar and Sonipat with 64671 and 60043 patients. Apart from this, a patients lost hiss life due to the infection.

In the wake of the h continuously monitoring the patients being reported in Gurugram and suspected patients reported in adjoining districts. It is pertinent to mention that in view of the higher number of Corona infections in Gurugram and Faridabad districts during early stages of infection, additional surveys were conducted there so that maximum information could be obtained about the ground situation there. Among the 22 fresh cases reported after December 27, 17 cases have been confirmed in Gurugram making Gurugram huge contributor in terms of Covid infection while remaining cases surfaced in Faridabad and Panchkula, one each.

Besides, the state also witnessed the casualties on large scale after the disease entered Haryana and the deadly corona led to the untimely death of at least 10880 patients In this row, a maximum number of 1188 patients died in Haryana due to Corona in Hisar district followed by Gurugram with 1036 deaths comprising around about 10 percent of the total deaths. Similarly, Faridabad, Panipat, Bhiwani, Karnal, Rohtak, Sirsa , Ambala and Fatehabad witnessed 741, 679, 668 , 603, 554 , 551 542 and 502 untimely deaths respectively. Department officials said that in view of the arrival of new cases, steps are being taken to speed up the sampling process.

According to departmental data, till Tuesday 1079007 people were infected with Corona in Haryana and of these, 1068216 people were discharged after recovery. Among the deceased patients died due to the disease, migrant laborers constituted a sizable chunk as in Haryana during the peak period of Corona, about three and a half thousand migrant laborers had lost their lives.

Most of the deceased migrant laborers hailed from UP and Bihar. Notably that the officials have been directed to monitor and report influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) cases, so that early rising trends of such cases can be detected. He said that we have done a mock drill in Haryana and we have all the preparations. 238 PSA plants are operational in Haryana. This disease is coming in the same form as it came before and that is why it should be taken seriously.
