The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to conduct the RAS Preliminary Exam on October 1. This exam will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM. This time, candidates will be given an additional 10 minutes. The reason for this is that in the upcoming objective recruitment examinations conducted by the Commission, there will be an option for a fifth choice in the question paper and OMR sheet.
Filling in any one option for each question will be mandatory. If a candidate does not want to answer a question, they will have to choose the fifth option. While filling in the correct answer, the candidate will have to darken the circle with a blue ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet. If a candidate does not select any option in more than 10% of the questions, they will be declared ineligible for the exam.
District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit said that 265 examination centres have been set up in the city for the exam. Among these, more than 95,000 candidates have registered for the exam. A control room has been set up for the smooth conduct of the exam.
The District Collector has assigned responsibilities to the concerned officials for the successful conduct of the exam, including the police, municipal corporation, traffic police, education department, health department, civil security department, electricity department, roadways, and JCTSL among other relevant departments.
Candidates must bring their original Aadhaar card (colour print) or any other identity documents for identification to the examination centre.
Candidates will only be allowed entry to the examination centre up to 60 minutes before the start of the examination. After that, access will not be allowed.
Male candidates can appear for the exam wearing a half-sleeve shirt/t-shirt/kurta, trousers/pyjamas, and flip-flops/slippers. Female candidates can wear salwar suits or sarees, a half-sleeve kurta/blouse, flip-flops/slippers, and tie their hair with a plain rubber band. Candidates will not be allowed to bring any type of watch, sunglasses, belt, handbag, hairpin, amulet/talisman, cap/hat, scarf, stole, shawl, muffler, etc., inside the examination hall. However, Sikh candidates will be allowed to wear a turban, or kirpan, and carry religious symbols for the exam.
The commission has released the admit cards. Applicants for this vacancy can download their admit cards from the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. Additionally, they can also download their admit cards through their SSO ID.
As per the Chief Minister’s budget announcement, candidates appearing for the exam will be provided with free travel on Rajasthan Roadways buses to and from the exam centres. However, orders regarding this have not been issued yet.
