Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court defers “framing of charges” in sexual harassment matter, which was levelled by six women wrestlers against Brij Bhushan Singh.

Further, the court has fixed May 10 for the pronouncement of the order.

Earlier too on April 18, the court deferred on charges framing against Singh after the application filed by BJP MP.

In his application, Singh wanted permission to keep further arguments on the framing of charges. He also sought direction for inquiry regarding his presence at the WFI office on September 7, 2022.

However, on April 26, the court later dismissed the plea under which he demanded further investigation into the sexual harassment case.

Meanwhile, the counsel appearing for the complainant argued that there is a strategy at play for causing the delay of application. Also claimed that documents could have been sought at the section 207 level of the CrPC.

This development comes around the time, when just last month, Delhi Police filed a charge sheet against Singh under sections 354, 354A, 354D and 506 (1) (criminal intimidation).

But a closure report was also filed under POSCO which was lodged against Brij Bhushan by a minor.
