n a commendable gesture, the Rotary Club Mohali Midtown joined hands with the District Administration to strengthen Anganwari infrastructure, acknowledging the praiseworthy efforts of the Punjab Government to combat malnutrition among children aged 0-6 years.

To kick off the initiative, the club handed over 20 kits containing essential items such as chairs, food-serving plates, glasses, a water dispenser, and a large utensil for cooking. The Club has also committed to providing 500 more such kits for the remaining Anganwaris over the next three years.

Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, expressing gratitude towards Rotary Club Mohali Midtown in District 3080, acknowledged the longstanding partnership between the club and the administration, particularly during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic and floods. She mentioned her own childhood association with these institutions through participation in competitive and charitable activities, emphasizing the honesty, sincerity, and dedication of the club members.

Jain highlighted the commitment of the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, to addressing malnutrition in the 0-6 years age group. Recognizing the critical nature of this tender age and the need for nutritional supplements, initiatives such as kitchen gardens in schools and Anganwaris have been started in Mohali to grow green vegetables.
