A speeding car collided with two vehicles after leaping the divider, resulting in two fatalities and numerous injuries, according to the police.

On the western expressway, the car struck a bike and an autorickshaw that were travelling in the opposite direction. Two bike-borne people suffered serious injuries, while the driver and passenger of the autorickshaw perished instantly. For medical attention, the injured were brought to a neighbouring hospital.

According to the police, the driver lost control of his vehicle close to the Jai Coach signal, jumped the driver, crossed over to the opposite side of the road, and rammed into two oncoming vehicles.

They said, “The driver departed the scene, leaving the vehicle there.”

Once their identity has been confirmed, the authorities are attempting to detain the car’s driver.

In the meantime, a first information report (FIR) has been filed at Vanrai police station against the unidentified car driver under Indian Penal Code sections 279 (rash driving), 304 A (causing death by doing any rash or negligent act), and 338 (causing grievous hurt).
