Plastic surgery is neither less nor more risky than any other surgery.

  Body Dysmorphic Disorder- This is not a consequence of plastic surgery, rather, someone suffering from BDD should never undergo plastic surgery. It is a condition where your loved one might have a skewed appearance of their bodies and in their mind, they mind flaws in it. They may be looking for plastic surgery to correct these flaws. But no amount of plastic surgery can correct their problems. The result of the finest work will also not be enough to make them happy. They have a very high risk of going into severe depression if they undergo plastic surgery.

• Doesn’t always meet expectations- It is possible that you may not meet your expectations after the procedure. The guarantee cannot be given. So, it is suggested that you be clear about what you want to avoid any disappointment. 

• Recovery time- The recovery time post-surgery could be longer, depending on the type of procedure adopted. You may have to stop your activities for some time. You will have to prepare your days accordingly before going for the surgery.
