In the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for February, the Aggarwal community has demanded representation. National Organization Minister of the Akhil Bharatiya Aggarwal Sammelan, Vijay Bansal, emphasized that while the Haryana Legislative Assembly has 8 Aggarwal community members out of the 90 seats, they have not been represented in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha elections.

Vijay Bansal stated that many prominent Aggarwal leaders, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Lala Lajpat Rai, and Y.B. Birla, actively participated in the fight for independence, contributing significantly to the development of the state. However, despite being a leading community in business, industry, and the professions, the Aggarwal community is not being adequately represented in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha elections.

Bansal urged various political parties to ensure proper representation for Aggarwal leaders in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. He emphasized that the community’s contribution to social, religious, cultural, and developmental activities deserves acknowledgment through political representation in national forums. Bansal cited examples of Aggarwal leaders who held key positions during Congress rule in Haryana. In conclusion, Vijay Bansal appealed for just representation for the Aggarwal community in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha elections.
