It was just another day in office for Director Prakash Raj when he was filming a scene for his upcoming web series, Aashram with 1,000 actors in the heart of Ayodhya. But the locals in the area thought it to be a real political rally and became a part of it.
The Rajneeti director was shooting a scene with 1,000 actors selected from the state itself. For art work, there were the posters and banners of Sachin Shroff and Anil Rastogi put up throughout the streets.
The locals were not aware that the city was witnessing a shoot, so real was the whole experience. The camera set up was far and people actually thought Sachin Shroff and Anil Rastogi have entered into politics and are campaigning. So, they became a part of the rally.
Àashram will mark National Award-winning director Prakash Jha’s debut into the world of web series. The Bobby Deol-starrer web series has been receiving an overwhelming response ever since the makers have released the trailer of the web series. A fictitious series, Aashram is about the blind faith of people in fake religious cult leaders and how that faith leads to their exploitation.
Most of the scenes for the web series have been shot in Ayodhya. To prepare the actors to be part of the rally, the Prakash Jha productions team re-hearsed the rally scene with the crowd of these 1,000 actors for 3 months before the shoot.
