Ahead of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s visit to Jhunjhunu, the National Spokesperson and Member of Parliament of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, aimed at her. He called Priyanka’s Jhunjhunu visit “political tourism”. He also said that Priyanka Vadra indulges in “vulture politics” in cases of crimes against women. Just before the tour, a press conference was held in which he posed 12 questions for Priyanka. These questions were primarily related to crimes, atrocities against women, farmer suicides, Dalit oppression, the auctioning of farmers’ land, paper leaks, unemployment, and the rampant corruption of the Congress party in the state.
MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore addressed the press conference, stating that Priyanka Vadra, a member of the main family that runs the Congress party, had come to Rajasthan in the political tourism division. He said that they practice “vulture politics” in matters of women’s safety. While there have been more than 35,000 registered incidents of atrocities against women in Rajasthan, neither Rahul Gandhi nor Priyanka Vadra came here and publicly talked about the safety of women.
He said, “While the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is working on the protection and upliftment of women, Priyanka Vadra’s slogan ‘I am a girl; I can fight’ shrinks when she comes to Rajasthan.” Despite more than 200,000 registered cases of atrocities against women in the state, Priyanka Vadra did not visit Rajasthan.
