The latest news from Bollywood about Salman Khan’s new film is that Animal actress Rashmika Mandanna has been signed on for the project. Sikandar is being directed by Tamil film director AR Murugadoss who delivers numerous hits earlier, including the film Ghajini that starred Aamir Khan. This is the first time that all three are working together.
The Bhai of Bollywood has already started shooting for this film and pictures leaked from the sets went viral on Thursday. Sikander is set to release for Eid 2025. Salman Khan announced the film’s title on Instagram on April 11 and shared its poster with the caption, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar Milo (Watch Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan on this Eid, next Eid, meet Sikandar) Wish u all Eid Mubarak!”
Sikandar also marks the reunion of Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala after the success of Kick in 2014. Pre-production began a few months back and the film is now on floors in Mumbai, followed by a few international shooting schedules. Sikandar will be a special film for Salman Khan because he turns 60 in 2025. The Bollywood star has had some of his biggest releases during his milestone years namely, Karan Arjun at 30, No Entry (at 40 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan at 50. Sikander could also turn out to be big blockbuster turning his 60th birthday a memorable one.
