As Ayodhya gears up for the bhoomi pujan ceremony for the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, the site has been under great scrutiny to ensure the success of the event. Meetings are being held to manage the event and address all possible challenges before 5 August when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be there for the big temple ceremony along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Ayodhya has already been divided into three zones for security purposes. The Additional Chief Secretary also visited to take stock of the situation in the city, while CM Yogi Adityanath has scheduled a visit on 2 August.

As part of the preparations, water and soil from the Yamuna have been sent to the temple in Ayodhya. About 111,000 laddoos are also being prepared, to be decorated and served on 111 platters on the day of the foundation laying.

While a section of people believes that the event will mark the end of coronavirus in India, CM Yogi Adityanath has appealed people to refrain from crowding on the day of the bhoomi pujan.

Meanwhile, BSP chief, Mayawati, has complained about the exclusion of Dalit Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kanhaiya Prabhunandan Giri from the 5 August ceremony.
