Ahead of the concluding day of Chaitra Navratri and the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Ayodhya is preparing for grand celebrations at the Ram Janambhoomi Temple, with 56 varieties of Bhog Prasad to be offered to Ram Lala.
The chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, informed ANI that all arrangements for the festival are being managed by the trust, expressing enthusiasm for the forthcoming celebrations. He stated, “All arrangements are being made by the trust. The trust is also managing the decorations. Ram Navami will be celebrated with great enthusiasm.”
Highlighting the significance of the event, Das emphasized that these celebrations are particularly special as they mark the first occasion after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.
In addition to the festivities, a Surya Abhishek of Lord Ram will take place for five minutes at 12:16 pm, as announced by Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti chairman Nripendra Mishra. He stated, “On Ram Navami, the sun rays will fall on Lord Ramlala’s forehead for about 5 minutes at 12:16 pm, for which important technical arrangements are being made. Scientists are working to display these moments with full grandeur.”
Ramnavami, the birth festival of Lord Ram Lala, will be commemorated with various offerings to the deity, including the 56 types of Bhog Prasad presented by devotees.
Ahead of the celebrations, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has made special arrangements for devotees visiting during the festival. According to the trust’s official statement, arrangements for devotees to queue up starting at 3:30 am during the Brahma Muhurta have been made. Additionally, the duration of Darshan has been extended to 19 hours, from Mangala Aarti until 11:00 pm, with only a five-minute closure of the curtain during the four Bhog offerings.
The festivities will be broadcast on approximately a hundred large LED screens across Ayodhya, along with live streams on the Trust’s social media platforms, as per the trust’s announcement on X.
