The Jaipur Day celebrations will take place from October 18 to November 18, organized by the Municipal Corporation Heritage. Over the course of a month, various programs will be held daily, featuring performances by local artists and renowned performers from across the country. All events will be free for the public to enjoy.
These festivities, would highlight Jaipur’s unique cultural, architectural, and historical significance and will be inaugurated on October 18. Mayor Kusum Yadav announced that the celebrations will start with Ganesh Puja at Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple on the morning of October 18, followed by the worship of the Ganesh idol at Gangapol, the city’s first pole.
The Mayor emphasized that this year’s events will promote Rajasthani customs and culture, including Rajasthani and Sufi performances, a Heritage Walk, Kathak dance, and a box cricket tournament. Mayor Yadav assured that the Heritage Corporation has made all necessary preparations for the celebrations.
Heritage walk to be organized
Mayor Kusum Yadav said that this time a heritage walk has also been organized to introduce tourists and local people to the heritage of Jaipur city. Which will start from Chandpol Hanuman temple at 6 pm on Friday and will go till Hawa Mahal. During this, the message of cleanliness will also be given to the city dwellers. Kathak dance has also been organized in Govind Dev Ji temple on Friday.
Cultural evening will be held on the embankment of Jal Mahal
Mayor Kusum Yadav said that on October 21, the city dwellers will get a glimpse of cultural programs on the embankment of Jal Mahal under the celebrations. On October 22, a Qawwali program will be held at Badi Chaupad. Box cricket will also be played at Jai Club on October 26. Apart from this, Sawai Jai Singh Jayanti will be celebrated on November 3 at Statue Circle.
Responsibilities Assigned within the Corporation for the Celebrations
Mayor Kusum Yadav has appointed in-charges for all the programs regarding the event. At the same time, Additional Commissioner Surendra Singh Yadav has been made the coordinator and Deputy Commissioner Vigilance Pushpendra Singh Rathore has been made in-charge.
