Rajasthan elections will be a big lesson for Haryana Congress Party. Three major reasons for this have emerged. The first reason is the factionalism of the leaders. Despite being in power in Rajasthan, the party had to face a major defeat due to factionalism. In Madhya Pradesh as well, the party has had to bear the brunt of the factionalism between Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh.
In such a situation, if Congress is not able to end factionalism in Haryana, then problems may increase. Due to factionalism, the party has not been able to establish an organization in Haryana for 9 and a half years. Even now the organization is running only in the name of the state president. The party will first have to focus on ending factionalism. Along with this, there will need to be changes in the issues on which the party is campaigning for the elections. Compared to other parties like BJP, AAP, JJP and INLD, Congress is lagging behind in the organization. Lack of organization is proving to be the biggest weakness of the party.
Due to factionalism in Haryana, the party has suffered huge losses in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha as well as Assembly elections. Due to factionalism, the first line leaders of the state remained active in their respective areas only. The situation still remains like this. Former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda is active in the Jat belt. Whereas Randeep Surjewala of the other group is holding a meeting with supporters in his home district Kaithal, Kumari Selja Ambala and Kiran Choudhary in their assembly constituency.Along with factionalism, the central leadership of the party will also have to change the issues of Haryana. Currently, the party is considering OPS as a trump card, but even after the implementation of OPS in Chhattisgarh, the party had to face defeat. Leaders in Haryana are also very active regarding OPS, they believe that the party government has been formed in Himachal Pradesh only because of OPS. Leaving aside the caste vote bank, all sections will have to be taken into the field.
Right now, organization is the biggest weakness among the weak links of Congress. Due to factionalism here, an organization has not been formed for 9 and a half year
